Thrivers have more fun, provide better products and services, and make more money.

If your business, your job, or your work enables you to achieve the things that are most important to you in an ethical and profitable manner then you will LOVE your job. If not you may become discouraged, depressed, or burned out.

All to often people take a job, or continue to keep a job, doing something that is not fulfilling to them. Working at a place where your co-workers are not encouragers and enablers. Working where you don't feel you are important or really personally valued. Going to work each day wondering if this is a good use of your time and energy. You know people, perhaps you, who are in this situation. This is not where anyone needs to be.

The same thing happens to business owners. The excitement of getting started may start to diminish over time. I know business owners, perhaps you, who drive to work feeling it is an obligation, and not an opportunity. Feeling it is a burden as opposed to a most grand adventure.

There are people who have a hard time getting out of bed to go to work, yet easily get out of bed to go fishing, golfing, skiing, or even shopping!

Why does this happen? And how can you make it different, for your kids, your co-workers, your employees, yourself?

You must match your purpose with your activity.

If you know what is important to you: What you want to accomplish with your life, what you want to do this year, today, or in the next 15 minutes, your life will be different.

Therefore:

The first thing you must consider is your purpose. What do you want to do for yourself? What do you want to do for other people (family, friends)? What do you want to do professionally? What do you want to do spiritually?

Then make a plan to match what you are doing, with what you want to do.
