Richard Poage, MBA, created Thriving LLC in 2004 to help Talented Professionals and their teams create a professional environment for themselves where they can Thrive, not just survive.
As a business coach Rick has dedicated the rest of his professional life to helping talented people understand the business, professional relationship, and organizational issues, required for professional success. He does this with workshops, seminars, and individual professional coaching.
Rick has been blessed with a wealth of experience in his 25+ years of working in professional service organizations. In addition to owning his own businesses he has worked with Physicians, Attorneys, Engineers, Audiologists, and other health care providers. He has worked with publicly traded companies and one person businesses. In each case was able to experience, see and understand, what caused organizations to thrive, or just survive.
Rick graduated from Oregon State University in 1980 with degrees in Business and Horticulture. After selling a Florist and Nursery he opened Rick returned to school and completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 1985, also at Oregon State University. His particular interest was and is organizational behavior and design. Always striving to answer the question: Why do people do what they do?
Rick has a wife of 31 years, Diane; they have two children, Rochelle age 9 and Nicholas age 7.
Rick is an affiliate member of AAA (American Academy of Audiology), and ADA (Academy of Doctors of Audiology), as well as a business member of PAHCOM (Professional Association of Health Care Office Management).
